Waitotara Valley Underslip Work - Road Closure

Contractors will be carrying out remedial works on the under slip on Waitotara Valley Road to restore stability and maintain safe access for road users. The area of concern is between properties 3515 and 3774. Between Frewin Property and Kaimanuka Road intersection which is also known as the Wakelings area.

The work is scheduled for Monday 31 August 2026, weather permitting. If the work is postponed due to adverse weather or other unforeseen circumstances it will be extended to the next day.

Traffic Management Information

The following Traffic Management will be in place:

• Road closure at the under-slip area on Monday 31 August 2026 from 9:30am to 2:30pm. There will be no access beyond the under-slip area.

If you have children, could you please remind them of the dangers posed by roadwork, make sure they remain well away from the heavy machinery and that they follow the directions of the workers. It’s also a good idea to keep your pets indoors while work is taking place.
