Arts in the Park
Hāwera’s iconic King Edward Park will burst into life on Saturday, 6 December, as the much-loved Arts in the Park returns for another vibrant celebration of creativity and community.
From 10am to 3pm, the park will transform into a hub of colour and craftsmanship, with over 100 stalls scattered around the Park showcasing unique, handmade arts and crafts. Whether you’re hunting for the perfect Christmas gift or a one-of-a-kind piece for your home, you’ll find treasures ranging from handcrafted jewellery and garden art to woodturning, knitting, and more.
Food trucks and live entertainment will keep the atmosphere buzzing throughout the day. Enjoy music from talented local performers, roving entertainers to delight the kids, and plenty of spots to relax, grab a bite, and soak up the festive vibe.
Families are in for a treat with a dedicated Kids’ Zone, featuring free face painting, games, a bouncy castle, and train rides. Plus, don’t miss the Arts Tipi, where South Taranaki District Council Arts Coordinator Michaela Stoneman will lead fun, hands-on creative activities for children.
This free event is the perfect way to kick off the holiday season—mark your calendar and join us for a day of art, music, and family fun!
